I got through everything in that massive storage room in our old facility. Spider Q was immensely helpful with this. You have four boxes that will be arriving on your doorstep next week. Not being certain what you wanted to keep I’m sending everything of yours so you can make those choices. The book your daddy made for you is in the bottom of the box labeled “2 of 4”. Horton is in the same box.
You are magnificent, my darling girl! I’m very proud of you for landing your dream job, for being joyfully happy, AND finding the most fabulous place to live. You’re all grown up and flourishing in the world. That was your daddy’s and my deepest wish for you. I’m so happy it’s come true.
As I told you last week, I’m locking up our house for now. If, while I’m traveling, something does happen to me, I want you to know I’ve made sure the house and everything else would be yours.
I’ll be honest and tell you I’m a bit nervous about traveling alone for such a length of time. Just know I’ll return home when I feel I’ve done and seen everything I want to. My cellphone will be coming with me. Hopefully, it will work in other countries. If not, I’ll pick up a new one and text you the number.
Ashlee, I know you've expressed how disappointed you were that I didn’t marry Chad. There’s a long and short story about why. I’ll give you the short version: I’m still deeply in love with Nick. Crazy? I know but it’s true. I don’t think I’ll ever get over him. I have so many meaningful memories of our life together that it’s enough to last the rest of my lifetime.
Keep in touch when you can. I will do the same. I love you very much, sweetheart. Like daddy used to say, “to the moon and back”.
